It encompasses economic, social, cultural, and political dimensions, aiming to ensure equitable and sustainable progress for all. Thus, NEPAD was created to help achieve this purpose under the framework of the African Union. This study explores the impact of NEPAD on the Right to Development in Africa and its future prospects. Adopting the secondary data and exploration of content analysis for the research study, the study affirms that NEPAD’s focus on infrastructure development has improved connectivity within Africa, facilitating trade and economic integration. This has positively impacted the Right to Development by creating employment opportunities, stimulating economic growth, and reducing poverty. However, despite its achievements, NEPAD faces challenges in its realization to Right to Development Among these maladies includes; limited financial resources, inadequate implementation mechanisms, and the persistence of conflict and political instability in certain regions which hinder its effectiveness. The research study recommends fostering inclusive and participatory decision-making processes within NEPAD, advocating for the integration of human rights principles, including the Right to Development, into national and regional development plans and strategies supported by NEPAD and the most of other for the effectiveness and efficacy of NEPAD.
