Item Testing the Effectiveness of Money Supply on Inflation in Nigeria(Lead City University, 2022-12) Adeniyi Benjamin ADEDOYINThis study examined Forensic Accounting Practices and Tax revenue in Nigeria. Following the adoption of forensic accounting, lots of research has been carried out to investigate the effect of forensic accounting practices and tax revenue. However, very few of these studies have been able to empirically validate the nexus between forensic accounting practices adoption and tax revenue. It is on this basis that this study examined the effect of forensic accounting practices and tax revenue in Nigeria. Survey research design was adopted for the study, the population comprises of four hundred and seventeen (278) employees of selected 69 listed offices in 6 states (Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ekiti & Ondo) of FIRS with respondents randomly selected. A structure questionnaire was administered. The instrument was validated and data gathered were analyzed. Out of 278 questionnaire items administered, 271 were retrieved (97.4% response rate). The study found that fraud prevention & Detection (F =332.858, (R) =.672, (R2) =.451, p value =0.000<0.05); fraud deterrence (F= 7.587, (R) =.136, (R2) .018, p value= .003<0.05; fraud investigation (F =364.436, (R) =.688, (R2) .474, p value= .000<0.05 and tax audit & (F =3.825, (R ) =.097, (R2) =.009, p value = .051<0.05) and forensic accounting practices (fraud prevention & Detection, fraud deterrence, fraud investigation, tax audit & investigation) F= 653.998, R-squared =.891, p value 0.00<0.05) were found to have positive significant relationship between forensic accounting practices and tax revenue in Nigeria. The study therefore concludes that fraud prevention and detection, fraud deterrence, fraud investigation and tax audit & investigation were quintessential factors in determining tax revenue of FIRS. It was recommended that researchers, State Inland Revenue Service and Stakeholders should consider the effect of fraud prevention, detection, fraud deterrence, fraud investigation, tax audit & investigation when making organization decision. To proffer solution to the aforementioned problems, the research study developed a computerized hospital laboratory operation support application which is aimed at using information technology to solve the problems associated with manual method of Hospital Laboratory Information System. The system is a web based model built on laravel 7.29 and a WAMP (Windows, Apache, MySQL, PHP) server. A total of 4 laboratories were visited (2 government owned and 2 private laboratories) to collect various types of tests being carried out in the laboratories through ethical approval using the conventional and the developed systems. During the implementation of the developed system at Oyo state hospital management laboratory in Oyo and Ibadan, the system was installed unto the hospital laboratories’ database and subsequently utilized for registration of patients data and processed data. The result obtained showed that 65% of the respondents who were tested with the developed system used between 30-45 minutes and 48% used between 46- 60minutes while 88% that used the manual system used between 2-8hours before the result was ready. The adoption of this research will greatly allow prompt release of test results retrieval of Information, reduce patient test time wastage, give accurate laboratory test result, reduce loss of vital information, reduce misplacement of test results and reduce misallocation of test results to the barest minimum, if not totally eradicated. The broad objective of this study is to evaluate the effect of monetary policy on inflation rate in Nigeria between 1986 and 2019. The specific objectives are to evaluate the thresholds at which money supply affect inflation rate in Nigeria and to investigate the asymmetric (non-linear) relationship between money supply and inflation rate in Nigeria. Time series data were sourced from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) statistical bulletin and the world development index (WDI). The two objectives were examined using the threshold regression model and the Non-linear Autoregressive Distributed Lag (NARDL). The result showed that the threshold level at which money supply affect inflation rate in Nigeria is 60% which imply that when money supply grows beyond 60% money supply have positive and significant effect on inflation, whereas, below this level, the effect of money supply is less significant though positive, on inflation rate in Nigeria. It was further discovered that in the short run, there is a positive and negative relationship between money supply and inflation rate for a positive and negative change in money supply respectively. Whereas, in the long run, there is a positive relationship between money supply and inflation rate for both positive and negative change in money supply. The study concluded that there exist a threshold level at which money supply affect inflation and that there is an asymmetric non-linear relationship between money supply and inflation rate in Nigeria. It was recommended that the monetary policy authorities institute policies targeted at controlling the level of money supply reasonably below the threshold level and set monetary policies that will ensure the stability of the macroeconomic environment for stabilizing economic activities in the economy.
