Leverage had a negative and statistically significant effect [β = -0.0577; P-value =0.0015] on the return on assets of quoted manufacturing companies in Nigeria. Liquidity (LIQT) shows a negative and statistically significant effect on return on assets [β = -0.32677 4.14. P =0.0000] of quoted manufacturing companies in Nigeria. The study ascertains that leverages and liquidity have a negative influence on the return on assets of quoted manufacturing companies in Nigeria.
