Abstract

Information and communication technology plays a vital role in all spheres of life which librarianship is not excluded. Libraries has shifted from its traditional ways of doing things to automated system which has given birth to the use of integrated library management systems. It is in this regard that this study therefore deems it fit to investigate the ICT Self-efficacy, personal innovativeness and use of integrated library management systems by library personnel in universities in Ondo State. Descriptive survey design was adopted population consists of 111 library personnel in universities in Ondo State Nigeria. 111 library personnel served as the sample size after Krejcie and Morgan was applied to determine the sample size. Multi stage sampling techniques was used as well as a validated questionnaire was also used to collect data. The reliability coefficient for each of the variable ranges from 0.144 to 0.649. Data collected was analyzed using inferential statistics. Findings revealed that the level ICT-self-efficacy is high (X = 2.93) and the level of personal innovator is high (X = 3.10). Moreso, the findings of the hypothesis indicate that there is a significant of ICT-self-efficacy on the use of Information Library Management System by library personnel among universities in Ondo State and there is influence of personal innovativeness on the use of Information Library Management System. It is recommended that the management of the academic library should make effort by ensuring features of the Information Library Management System are fully maximized, and training and retraining of library personnel should be given priority.
