dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study is to investigate Information Communication Technology Skills, Information Literacy Skills and Electronic Library Patronage by Students in Public Polytechnics in Osun State, Nigeria. This study was underpinned with the Diffusion of Innovation Theory (DOI), while the study’s population comprised National Diploma (ND) students of three selected polytechnics in Osun State, Nigeria. The study employed cross- sectional survey design. The sample size for the study was five hundred and sixty-one (561) students. Questionnaires was the instruments of data collection. Response rates of 53.7% was obtained. The reliability of the instrument was carried out through pilot study using 30 copies of questionnaire. The Cronbach alpha yielded a result of 0.86. The research questions were analyzed using frequency and percentage distribution while the hypotheses were tested using regression analysis. Findings revealed that the electronic information resources and electronic database is the reason student highly patronized Polytechnic Libraries in Osun State, Nigeria. Also, the findings of this study revealed that the ICT and Information Literacy Skills of Students of Public Polytechnics in Osun State is high. The study recommended that Library management should provide more ICT facilities and more training should be organized for the students.
