Abstract
This thesis explores the important role of landscape design in fostering inclusiveness within community hubs. It examines how intentional planning and utilization of outdoor spaces can contribute to a sense of inclusion, belonging and accessibility for diverse community members, the study strives to provide valuable insights into designing environments that encourage social unity and participation. The research investigates how thoughtfully designed landscapes can help break down physical and
social barriers, creating welcoming and accessible for individuals from various backgrounds. Using a combination of qualitative analysis, the research employed a case study methodology to analyze successful examples of community hubs that have effectively utilized landscape features to enhance inclusivity. Various landscape elements such as accessible pathways, seating arrangements, green spaces, and interactive installations has been examined, assessing their impact on social interaction, community engagement, and overall well-being. The research uncovered best practices for leveraging landscape elements to create inclusive and inviting community hubs.
