The findings revealed that there was a moderate to high job performance, a high level of information management competence, and strong motivational factors among librarians in tertiary institutions in Oyo State. Results from the hypotheses showed that information management competence (ß=0.680, t=7.65, p<0.01) and motivational factors (ß=0.620, t=6.75, p<0.01) respectively influence job performance among the librarians. It was also found that both information management competence (ß=0.450, t=4.50, p<0.05) and motivational factor (ß=0.400, t=4.00, p<0.05) had a combined influence on job performance of librarians in tertiary institutions in Oyo State. The study established that competencies in information management and a supportive motivational climate are both essential for optimal performance of librarians.
