Giving employees the authority, resources, and confidence to make decisions, organizations can reap numerous benefits that enhance overall performance. Despite the recognized benefits of employee empowerment, many telecommunication companies in Oyo State struggle to implement effective empowerment strategies. This study therefore examines the influence of employee empowerment and autonomy, on the performance of mobile telecommunication operators in Ibadan, Oyo state. The study employed survey research design using well-structured questionnaire. The population of the study comprises of all the staffs of telecommunication companies in Ibadan, Oyo State while the study sample size comprises of 222 staff of telecommunication companies in Ibadan, Oyo State out of which 215 copies of questionnaire were returned for data analysis. Random sampling technique was used to select the sample size. Both descriptive and inferential statistics were employed for the purpose of the data analysis. Descriptive statistics involved the use of Multiple Regression, Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Pearson Product Moment Correlation (PPMC) to analyse the study objectives. Findings showed that the constant value is 1.685, indicating the baseline level of information sharing when all other independent variables are zero. This is statistically significant (p < 0.001). Improved accuracy of information sharing has a significant positive effect on information sharing (p < 0.001). A one-unit increase in accuracy leads to a q0.727 increase in the information sharing score, making it a strong predictor. Enhanced speed of information dissemination has a positive but not statistically significant effect on information sharing (p = 0.294). The study concluded that there is a strong relationship between employee empowerment, autonomy and organizational performance of telecommunication companies. Based on the conclusion of the study, the study therefore recommends that telecommunication companies should prioritize the establishment of robust information-sharing frameworks that enhance communication across all levels of the organization.
