Abstract
This research delves into the roles and effectiveness of public administration in fostering reconciliation, and human rights. The study aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of survey results, examining respondents' perceptions and attitudes toward the contributions of these entities, understanding varying levels of agreement and disagreement on different statements related to the roles of public administration in peacebuilding. A survey research design was employed, utilizing a Likert scale questionnaire to collect responses from participants. The survey focused on statements related to the roles of public administration, with responses categorized as "Strongly Agree," "Agree," "Disagree," and "Strongly Disagree." Mean values were calculated for each statement, providing insights into the overall agreement or disagreement on the topic surveyed. The findings reveal nuanced perspectives on the effectiveness of public administration. Divers entities associated to public administration such as government actions in crafting laws and regulations received strong overall agreement indicating perceived effectiveness; civil society's role as watchdogs garnered significant support, while direct work with communities and provision of essential services received more mixed opinions, and public administration in traditional rule was strongly endorsed for mediating local disputes, and promoting values and practices. The grand mean of 2.8 suggests an overall positive perspective across surveyed statements. The study concludes that there is a generally positive perception regarding the roles of public administration as a tool for peacebuilding. While
some aspects received strong endorsement, others elicited more varied opinions, reflecting the complexity of these roles in societal dynamics. Based on the findings, it was recommended that policymakers and stakeholders considered the nuanced perspectives uncovered in this study. Efforts should be directed towards strengthening areas where there is consensus, while addressing concerns and uncertainties in other aspects. Collaborative initiatives involving the aforementioned entities associated to public administration may enhance their collective impact on peacebuilding and conflict resolution. Further research and dialogue are encouraged to delve deeper into specific areas fostering a comprehensive understanding of public administration.
